Ha rite hand position

Hello Two Bears,

below are some questions pertaining to the Ha rite. Please answer as fully as possible so that newcomers to HUNA can learn to do it correctly right from the start.

>>>Cup and hold your hands so that your finger tips are about an inch
or two apart, and spread your fingers so none of them touch one
another >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Please tell me which is the correct position. Thank you.

Tried to post pictures here but don't know @#$%$@ for some reason the pictures won't load.

http://haritehandpositions.blogspot.com/
Shows some hand positions.

Position 1 is whereby my wrists are touching. And fingers are in a fanned out position.

Position 2 is whereby my wrists are NOT touching. Fingers fanned out.

Position 3 is whereby my wrists are touching. And fingers are in a curled up position.

Position 4 is whereby my wrists are NOT touching. And fingers curled up.

Which is it? Something else?

How can you cup your hand without involving your fingers? Like cupping
to catch water? Except that your fingers are spread out? Please show
me if possible, by a picture.

>>>>>Tradition is to use four sets of four breaths or even 10 sets of
four breaths to build a mana surcharge for the prayer.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What makes a SET? Just a number in your mind? You breathe 4 times and
you call it a set in your mind? Is that how it is?

>>>>>>The more mana you pour into the prayer picture the brighter and
more realistic the prayer picture becomes. Use intent to put mana into
the space between your hands.>>>>>>

How do you POUR mana? Imagine mana (what colour) flowing somewhere to
somewhere? Mind to hands through the air? The sphere in hand glowing
brighter with each breath? How?

>>>>>>If you are working on a large goal such as a new car, house,
etc, and you want to send more mana to help in manifestation, use the
SAME prayer picture (THIS IS IMPORTANT) so your 'Aumakua does not have
to undo what it has already done toward your goal and start over
again.>>>>>

By more mana, do you mean more sessions of the Ha rite on the same
prayer picture? And not breathing more sets within the same Ha rite?

PLEASE explain in clearer detail
>>>>>>When you are satisfied with the mana surcharge, and prayer
picture pr intent, expel a quick burst of breath and visualize it
going around the prayer picture and the mana surcharge binding them
together. Then separate your hands and allow the prayer picture and
mana surcharge to float away to be taken by your 'Aumakua.>>>>>

How to let the prayer and mana be TAKEN by my Aumakua?

Thank you.

Relax. There is no one and only one correct position for you to hold your hands.

step 1. relax and allow your body to take a comfortable position.

step 2. hold your hands in a comfortable position in front of your abdomen with your hands 3-8 inches apart.

step 3. seperate your fingers as if you were holding a softball in each hand. This strp is important because when you allow the sides of your fingers to touch each other or the tips of the fingers of the other hand; some of the generated mana will be grounded back into the body.

step 4. do the deep breathing; and by the force of intention send the energy down your arms and into the energy ball you are generating between your hands.

step 5. when your have accumulated the mana in the space between your hands; choose a prayer picture, and place the prayer picture over the mana surcharge. Expell the last breath and visualize the breath bonding the prayer picture onto the mana surcharge; open your hands and allow the prayer picture and mana surcharge to float up to youe 'aumakua. If you like; play with the mana between your hands as if it were silly putty where you stretch it out and squish it back into a ball. This will help your unihipili develop faith in the system.

I don't know why the pictures would not post.

Position 2 is whereby my wrists are NOT touching. Fingers fanned out.

Position 3 is whereby my wrists are touching. And fingers are in a curled up position.

Position 4 is whereby my wrists are NOT touching. And fingers curled up.

positions 2 or 4 are the best of the four pictures you have there. but I am talking about where your fingertips point to one another. the fingers of your right hand points left and the left hand points right

Which is it? Something else?

quote:

quote:

You cup your hands as if you were holding a baseball or softball you are about to throw. Instead of holding your fingers pointing in front of you; move your wrists and elbows so the hands are in front of your fingertips and the fingertips point at the finger tips of the other hand.

quote:

What makes a SET? Just a number in your mind? You breathe 4 times and

a set is four breaths. four sets of four breaths would be a total of 16 breaths. I do not want people loosing counts of the breaths when they get to 7, 11, or 14. count the breaths 1,2,3,4 (1 set) 1,2,3,4 (2 sets), etc.

quote:

How do you POUR mana? Imagine mana (what colour) flowing somewhere to
somewhere? Mind to hands through the air? The sphere in hand glowing

by using your intention to send the mana from the breaths into the space between your hands.

When you begin working with mana; you will have more mana in your body, and working with the mana; your spiritual vibaration will progressively get higher and higher until you reach the mental level the Buddhists call illumination or enlightenment.

quote:

By more mana, do you mean more sessions of the Ha rite on the same
prayer picture? And not breathing more sets within the same Ha rite?

For a large goal; you would probably generate one or two ha rites to manifest that goal every day.

If you use the treasure mapping strategy where you set pictures of your goal in your envinronment; EVERY time you see the picture; you will automatically think of the goal, this will send a bit of mana to your 'aumakua.

quote:

How to let the prayer and mana be TAKEN by my Aumakua?

That is the easiest part. After you habe the mana surcharge AND the prayer picture together; seperate your hands ald allow the mana surcharge and prayer picture to float up up and away. Your 'aumakua will take it from there.

Re: Ha rite hand position

Wow, thanks Two Bears. That was pretty clear, step by step explanation of the Ha rite.
Thank you very much. It seems that the method you teach is kind of like the lotus position of the Buddhist meditation method.... with fingers pointing to each other.... crossed legged.
Only thing that is different in the hand position is to imagine to be holding mana, in two separate hands, with the fingers curled but not touching.

Great. I will practice that. In fact I will do it now.

Thank you.

You're welcome. Helping each other is what we are supposed to do.

I have been doing zazen off and on for 40 years, and have read a lot of books on Buddhist thought; but that hand position is a new one on me

quote:

Only thing that is different in the hand position is to imagine to be holding mana, in two separate hands, with the fingers curled but not touching.

there is only one ball of mana (the entire space between your hands. By using your intention, and concentration; you are holding the mana inside that space.

There is a quote from many metaphysical schools that will help you understand this better "wherever attention goes, energy flows) by holding your attention between the hands; mana flows there without further directions from you. This skill is so simple; I have taught very young children, and had them affecting the world such as punching a hole in a cloud, calling up a breeze, etc in minutes. After a person reaches adulthood; their perceptions become rigid according to how their authority figures, and society at large programmed their unihipili in how it perceives the world, and it can be difficult to get the unihipili to view the world with a sence of awe and wonder the way you did as a child.
