Tarot cards, runes and oracles

Aloha!

I just have a question concerning divination and the unihipili. I have been using runes, tarot cards and other oracles successfully in the past 9 years, and have done some professional readings for others. 2B, can tarot cards or runes be used instead of a pendulum to communicate with the basic self, or is divination exclusively a method of communicating with your aumakua!?

I've heard that doing readings for yourself is impossible because of a biased approach, but in my case, it has never affected me. I seem to be able to "abstract" myself from any problem or situation and get an objective personal reading. I usually just sit and look at the picture without any focus at all, and then *pop* the answer comes to me. Is that my aumakua speaking to me or my unihipili!?

Aloha nui loa!

Of course runes, tarot cards, etc can be used as a tool to communicate with the unihipili or 'Aumakua instead of relying on the pendulum. I recommend pendulums just because a person can quickly make one at a moments notice.

I do not use pendulums myself; I just scan with my hand, and the answer is wherever the energy (mana) flowing through my hands spikes.

Of course you can do readings for yourself. I do it all of the time.

The trick is to breathe deeply a few times till you feel the energy flowing in your body (this is the signal) If you are able to ask the question, and remain on the signal; divination for yourself is a peice of cake. When your mind begins to wander, and you lose the signal; stop and get back on signal before asking the question again.

Mahalo 2B!

Just wondering... How do I know if it's my unihipili or aumakua that is speaking to me through the cards!? Do I need to personally address my unihipili or aumakua "before" I focus on the question!?

Aloha nui loa!

Just ask your unihipili or 'Aumakua the question directly.

Unihipili (or the name you call the unihipili) what do you need to tell me about the _______ issue?

Another thing I was wondering... I have given a name to my unihipili, but what about aumakua!? Should we also name our aumakua, or let it decide!? I know... Weird wacko questions, right!? Sorry, mate... My brain is fried this morning!! LOL!

Don't worry, Carole, you're in good company (meaning me emoticon ) asking questions like that! LOL! I chose a name for my unihipili after seeing that it was recommended, though the name for my Aumakua kind of came to me. Thing is, the word "aumakua" feels good to me (if that makes sense) so I find myself referring to it by both names.

(Hmm...anyone outside this forum reading this would think I had an identity disorder!)

The 'Aumakua is impersonal. It no longer has any use for names; but knows it is a part of the oneness.

I often thought people would think I had serious split personality disorders as I often come out with phrases like "Of course you can do it... you've just got to tell your other self that you can!". emoticon
