Charlotte Berney did a very good job explaining all the basics in such a casual manner, that if I would have to choose one book on Huna to give to some of my friends or relatives who are not into spiritual/metaphysical things, it would be probably this one. The Berney book is an excelent book. I think it is the best one currently in print. I like it because it blends the Hawai'ian mysticism of Clark Wilkerson, with the Christianitized version offered by MFL. As far as I am concerned; the only two better books are "Clearing Your Lifepath". and "Hawaiian Magic. Charlotte Berney did a very good job explaining all the basics in such a casual manner, that if I would have to choose one book on Huna to give to some of my friends or relatives who are not into spiritual/metaphysical things, it would be probably this one. All the basics on Huna are covered. Simple releasing methods (forgiveness, prayers), Huna prayer, mana gathering, communication between all selves, practical applications in real life. Further resources and bibliography are nice addition, as well as several other paragraphs, like that about precious stones or charging of talismans. Touches, though basically, most areas of hawaiian mysticism, unlike most other books. Author's most important teachers were Josephine and Jack Gray, and they themselves were students of Clark Wilkerson, so it is in some aspects similar to his Hawaiian Magic book (Silence, salt ritual, ...). It was said by some that in today's world we don't want to delve into past ways of doing Huna, we rather need Huna that is adapted to vibrations of life today. And that's what this book by Charlotte Berney offers. 5/5 stars. Great as first book on Huna. Still very useful even if one has few more books read under belt.nondisclosed_email@example.com (huna mind)Thu, 17 Nov 2005 12:27:30 +0000
