Creating Anahola by Curby Ho'ikeamaka rule

I'm just curious has anyone read:

Creating Anahola: Huna Perspectives on a Sacred Landscape by Curby Ho`ikeamaka Rule

I can't seem to find any information on the author and am just curious as to wether this book would be worth my time and money?

Peace,

Craig

I didn't know about it before, but maybe I will buy it (it's just $7 for electronic version - big help, usually only shipping costs me at least two times more for one book). For some reason unknown to me I don't feel drawn to any stuff in Serge Kahili King tradition of huna, but this has some topics that interest me ("time" in particular, and akua).

If I will buy it I will have no time to read it, though, only small parts that interest me mostly, as I have other priorities right now when it comes to huna.

I did not realise the authour was following Serge Kahili King's tradition, but I personally am attracted to Mr. King's tradition for two reasons. First off, it was through his book 'Urban Shaman' that I had my mind opened up even more and was introduced to Huna, inspiring me to research the system further.
Secondly, I've tried some of the techniques Mr. King mentions in his books and they have worked well for me (and still do).

Peace,

Craig

First short review after 20 minutes with the book:

It includes some practical exercises, but is maybe more meant as a food for thought (says so even in the foreword somewhere) and doesn't cover basic huna stuff.

Suggested reading only includes books by Serge King, Daddy Bray and Tad James. Cites from King and Bray, but Max Freedom Long is only talked about once and as an acknowledgment not citation. So the book is clearly completely in King's tradition.

Has a lot on Hawaiian language and mythology. Covers sounds and voice extensively, and parts of the body.

Curiously I couldn't find any mention about the 3 selves in whole book (I know King uses different terms than MFL but I tried a lot of usually used terms).

If you have some questions I will try to find out.

The web is http://www.creatinganahola.net/ and there are few short examples from the book available for reading, and a discussion forum, so it's nice the author is accessible for further discussion.

I have not read the book; so I will reserve comment until i do.

I am NOT a fan of Serge Kahili King's because I do not like the way he mixes NLP, Qigong, assorted new age material, and calls it all huna.

Hawai'ian mysticism is complete, and does NOT need new age, Qigong, OR NLP. Just my two cents.
